DERA GHAZI KHAN, Sept 6: The local tumandars and feudals in their nomination papers gave out the details of assets.

The description of these assets is an interesting account for the readers.

FAROOQ AHMAD KHAN LEGHARI: Leghari tumandar, Farooq Ahmad Khan, paid land revenue of Rs42,931 in 1998-1999, Rs33,736 in 1999-2000 and Rs58,345 in 2000-2001.

IMMOVABLE PROPERTY: Mr Leghari owns a house worth Rs5,500,000 at Rakh Khamba, land worth Rs995,000 at Rakh Khamba, agriculture land worth Rs7,430,400 in Dera Ghazi Khan and debentures worth Rs3,426,922.

He has a Mercedes Benz (IDH-322), 1992, worth Rs89,675, jewellery worth Rs1,110,154, cash (at hand) and prize bonds worth Rs362,000, bank balance worth Rs49,984 and furniture worth Rs1,000,000. Mr Leghari owes Rs673,073 to a bank.

MOVABLE ASSETS: Shares in Ghazi Agriculture Service and Ginning (Pvt) Ltd worth Rs191,250, Rs300 each share in Global Infotech Services (Pvt) Ltd, Global Soft (Pvt) Ltd (advance for share capital worth Rs250,000), Pak Factory (Pvt) Ltd, (advance for share capital Rs225,000), Kohe Suleman (Pvt) Ltd (ordinary share of Rs100 each), DG Oil (Pvt) Ltd (ordinary share worth Rs2,128,498 and advance for share capital Rs331,974).

Mr Leghari has Rs38,069 (account number 2324-4) and Rs303 (2067-4) in National Bank of Pakistan, Choti Zareen, Rs4,980 (538-5) in NBP, Defence Branch, Lahore, Rs4,980 (546-30) in the NBP, Shahpur, and Rs1,652 (1651-1) in NBP, Corporate Branch, Islamabad.

AVAIS KHAN LEGHARI: Farooq Leghari’s son Avais Khan Leghari is a new face in the political arena. He paid land revenue worth Rs22,956 in 1998-99, Rs35,916 in 1999-2000 and Rs21,947 in 2000-2001.

CASE AGAINST HIM: Case number 70/98 registered at Sakhi Sarwar police station is being heard at special court, Dera Ghazi Khan.

He has agriculture land in the district worth Rs4,142,000, in Jampur worth Rs1,000,000, stock and shares of Rs7,800,792, Toyota Hilux Surf (B-1108) worth Rs1,100,000, cash (at hand) Rs90,000 and Rs565,416 in bank.

His liabilities include bank loans, (his and spouse) worth Rs1,169,033 which he owes to the Agriculture Development of Pakistan.

IMMOVABLE ASSETS: Avais Leghari has agriculture land worth Rs2,190,000, his wife’s land worth Rs1,176,000, son’s land worth Rs776,000. MOVABLE ASSETS: Movable assets of Avais, wife and son amounts to Rs13,698,208.

AMJAD FAROOQ KHAN KHOSA: He is the cousin of former Punjab Governor Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa.

His assets include motor vehicle worth Rs600,000, jewellery worth Rs1.3 million, cash (at hand) Rs200,000. He has Rs300,000 in United Bank Limited, Main Branch, Dera Ghazi Khan and Rs115,000 in Habib Bank, Kot Mubarak Branch, Dera Ghazi Khan. He has furniture worth Rs100,000.

IMMOVABLE PROPERTY: Around 3,100 kanals land obtained from his father worth Rs2 million, two-kanal house at Chrahta South worth Rs500,000, property of spouse (379 kanals) worth Rs500,000, property of daughter 199 kanals worth Rs500,000, 198 kanals, 105 kanals and 19 marlas, 108 kanals and 19 marlas worth Rs400,000 and 199 kanals worth Rs400,000, property of son 280 kanals and 13 marlas worth Rs500,000.

IRFANULLAH KHAN KHOSA: He is the son of Zulfiqar Khosa’s cousin Ata Muhammad Khan Khosa and entrant to the politics. He is contesting from NA-173 and PP-242 from PPP’s platform.

IMMOVABLE PROPERTY: Around 1,050 kanals land in mountain worth Rs200,000, 1,000 kanals land in plains worth Rs2 million, 1,000 kanals land in river Rine area worth Rs300,000.

His spouse owns 80 kanals, children 900 kanals, his own property is 2,600 kanals.

In their liabilities, he owes Rs1.50 million to ADBP, his spouse owes Rs1.1 million. He has jewellery worth Rs120,000 and furniture worth Rs105,000.

SAIFUDDIN KHAN KHOSA: He is the son of Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa and has filed his nomination papers for NA-172, 173 and PP-244. He was not elected in the past but he remained chairman of the district council.

He owns agriculture land in Chabri Bala (669 Kanals) worth Rs600,000, 548 kanals and 16 marlas worth Rs300,000 in Mauza Sori Khosa, three-kanal house worth Rs3 million, two shops of three marlas each in Khosa Market worth Rs7 million, residential plot in Defence Lahore worth Rs3 million.

His wife’s property include residence in Chrahta North worth Rs2 million and daughter’s house worth Rs3.5 million.

Last year, he paid income tax of Rs8,350, land revenue Rs17,347. He has a vehicle worth Rs600,000, jewellery worth Rs250,000, cash (at hand) Rs200,000, cash in bank Rs10,000 and furniture worth Rs100,000.

MUHAMMAD KHAN LEGHARI: He is the son of Maqsood Khan Leghari. He stands disqualified owing to graduation condition.

IMMOVABLE PROPERTY: Residential plot in Defence Lahore worth Rs250,000, 2,987 kanals and 19 marlas in Mauza Bakhir, Wah Western, Dera Ghazi Khan, worth Rs2 million, 115 kanals and two marlas in Chak Dodara worth Rs1 million, jewellery worth Rs2,40,000.

He has Rs1,000 with NBP, Choti Zaireen while he has to pay Rs337,000 to a bank.
