KARACHI: Hearing of case against Lahori adjourned

KARACHI, Sept 5: The hearing of a murder case against Muhammed Ajmal alias Akram Lahori was adjourned till Sept 10 by an anti-terrorism court.

The ATC-IV judge, adjourning the hearing on Wednesday, also sent a reminder to the Sindh home department to make special security arrangements and to provide transport to the court staff.

The home department was asked by the court to take necessary measures for a smooth conduct of the trial. The letter, copies of which were sent to the federal secretary for law, justice and human rights; the administrative judge of the ATCs for Karachi, the registrar of the SHC and the inspector-general of Sindh police, also said that in case proper arrangements were not made, the home department would be responsible for delay in trial and disposal of the case.—APP
