Azeri deputy PM meets President


ISLAMABAD, Sept 4: Deputy Prime Minister of Republic of Azerbaijan Yagub Ayyubov called on President General Pervez Musharraf here on Wednesday.

During the meeting, both leaders exchanged views on different aspects of Pakistan-Azeri relations and the situation in the region.

President Musharraf said Pakistan desires to promote relations with Azerbaijan in the economic sector.

He said that Pakistan would extend all facilities for the growth in bilateral trade.

Yagub Ayyubov said Azerbaijan attaches great importance to its relationship with Pakistan.

The Azeri deputy prime minister expressed the desire to augment relations with Pakistan in all spheres including economy and defence. —APP
