HYDERABAD, Sept 2: Scores of Pakistan People’s Party activists, including a large number of women, continued their hunger strike outside the Hyderabad Press Club on the third consecutive day here on Monday to protest against the rejection of nomination forms of party chairperson, Benazir Bhutto.

Led by the Sindh Council member of the party, Syed Fayyaz Ali Shah, Pasha Qazi, Amanullah Siyal, Roshan Solangi and women wing leader Noor-un-Nisa Abro, they raised full-throated slogans in favour of Benazir demanding withdrawal of all false cases against her and restoration of her nomination forms.

Fayyaz Shah told newsmen that without the participation of Benazir Bhutto, the elections will be meaningless.

He said the rulers were blocking the way of the true representatives of the people and trying to thrust ‘King’s party’ on the masses.

They pledged to foil all conspiracies of the rulers. They said that Benazir Bhutto was the true representative of the people and she alone deserved to become the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Our Badin correspondent adds: The activists of the PPP took out a rally in Fazal Rahu town on Monday against the rejection of Benazir Bhutto’s three nomination papers for NA seats.

They wore the black arm-bands and raised slogans against the government.
