HYDERABAD, Sept 1: The scrutiny of nomination papers continued on Sunday when 10 more nomination papers were accepted by the returning officers.
For NA 218, the returning officer, Abdul Kabeer Leghari, accepted the nomination papers of Shahid Ali Jatoi of the PML-N.
For NA-222, the returning officer, Abdul Rehman Bhatti, accepted the nomination papers of Abdul Majeed Nizamani, Peer Sajad Khan Sarhandi, and Asadullah.
For PS-44, the nomination papers of Syed Sikandar Ali Shah of the PML-F was accepted. A Muttahida Quami Movement candidate, Rasool Bux Memon, had filed two nomination forms for the same seat. One was accepted, while the other was rejected.
For PS-53, the candidatures of Mir Javed Ali Talpur, Nayyar Sultana, Peer Sajad Jan Sarhandi, Ghulam Akbar, and Peer Khalid Jan Sarhandi were accepted.
On Saturday, 37 nomination papers were accepted and four rejected on various grounds.
The returning officer for NA-218 (Hyderabad-I), Abdul Kabeer Leghari, accepted the forms of Mumtaz Ali Gahoti (independent), Syed Arshadullah Rashidi (PML-J), and Rasool Bux Memon (Muttaheda).
For NA-220 (Hyderabad-III), the returning officer, Amjad Ali Bohyo, cleared the forms of Mohammed Azam Qureshi and PML-Q’s Shabbir Hussain Hashmi.
The returning officer, NA-222 (Hyderabad-IV), Abdul Rehman Bhatti, accepted the forms of
Saood Ahmed Farooqui of the PML-Q and Abdul Qadeer Gaddi of the PML-N.
For PS-43 (Hyderabad-I), the forms of Makhdoom Ameen Faheem and Makhdoom Jamil-uz-Zaman (PPP), Urs Gahoti, Mumtaz Ali Gahoti, and Ramzan Ali (Muttaheda) were accepted.
For PS-44 (Hyderabad-II), the forms of Hafiz Mohammad Akram (Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal), Sharafat Ali Shah (PML-N), Akhund Ghulam Mohammad Siddiqui (independent), and Altaf Hussain (Muttahida) were accepted.
For PS-45 (Hyderabad-III), the candidatures of Qari Mushtaque and PML-Q’s Mohammad Rafique Rajput were accepted.
For PS-46 (Hyderabad-IV), the nomination papers of Abid Mehmood Ghauri, Mohammad Ayub, Mohammad Akram, and Dr Rakshanda were accepted.
For PS-47 (Hyderabad-V), the forms of Sardar Shafi Mohammad of the PML-J and Malik Asif Khalil of the Mohajir Ittehad Tehrik were accepted.
For PS-48 (Hyderabad-VI), the candidature of Ali Bux was accepted.
For PS-49 (Hyderabad-VII), the forms of Mohammad Faheem Qureshi of the Muttahida were accepted.
For PS-51 (Hyderabad-IX), Haji Darya Khan’s nomination was accepted.
For PS-52 (Hyderabad-X), the candidatures of Aijaz Ali and Abdul Sattar Leghari were accepted.
For PS-53 (Hyderabad-XI), the forms of Syed Altaf Ali Shah, Mir Mohammad Khan Talpur, Syed Ghulam Noorani Shah, Abdul Hakeem Memon (PPP), Mohammad Ashfaque Nizamani, and Saood Ahmed Farooqui (PML-Q) were accepted.
