KARACHI, Aug 27: Sixteen vehicles — five cars and 11 motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the city on Tuesday, police said.

One car was hijacked. Four others were stolen. Two motorcycles were hijacked. Nine others were stolen.

SUICIDE: A young girl who had consumed poison on Aug 18 died in Civil Hospital on late Monday night.

Police said Ruqaiyya, aged 20, took poison after getting fed up with frequent quarrels between her parents in her house in Kalri.

Her father, Mohammed Nazeer, admitted her to a private hospital where she remained under treatment till Aug 21.
