Six UC Nazimeen resign

VEHARI, Aug 26: Six union council Nazimeen have resigned from their offices to contest the forthcoming general elections.

Those who quit their offices are Kashif Mushtaq Bhaba (UC-43, Mailsi), Dr Nazir Dogar (UC-69, Burewala), Aurang Zeb Khan Khichchi (UC-32, Mailsi), Azhar Khan Yousafzai (UC-28, Mailsi), Tahir Iqbal Chaudhry (UC-6, Vehari) and Ehsanul Haq Ghuman (UC-88, Burewala).

Kashif Mushtaq (Independent) has filed nomination papers for NA-169, Dr Nazir Dogar (PML-N) for PP-233, Aurang Zeb (PML-QA) for NA-170, Azhar Khan (PPP) for NA-170, Tahir Iqbal (PML-N) for PP-236 and Ehsanul Haq (Independent) for PP-233.

Meanwhile, the following candidates filed their nominations on Monday:

Nadeem Akram Pervez (PTI) for PP-237, Muhammad Rafiq (JUI) for NA-169, Amir Tufail Warraich (JI) for NA-169, Abdul Khaliq Wattoo (JUI) for PP-236, Muhammad Yaqub Sindhu (JI) for PP-236, Syed Javed Shah (JI) for PP-237, Haji Irshad Dogar (JI) for NA-167, Rana Rafaqat Ali (Independent) for NA-169, Rana Fakhul Islam (Independent) for PP-236, Muhammad Nasim Iqbal (Independent) for PP-237, Mirza Masood Baig (ANP) for PP-239, Imran Ilyas Kamboh (MMA) for PP-238, Mehr Faisal Masood (PAT) for PP-239, Muhammad Rafiq Nizami (MMA) for PP-232, Chaudhry Abdul Waheed Khalid (MMA) for PP-233, Dr. Muhammad Nasrullah (MMA) for PP-235, Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin Kamboh (MMA) for PP-238 and Rana Tahir Ali (Independent) for PP-239.
