Imran to contest from Swat
PESHAWAR, Aug 25: Chief of Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf, Imran Khan, has filed nomination papers from National Assembly seat NA-29, Swat-1.
The PTI chief is facing seven other candidates: former NWFP governor Miangul Aurangzeb, his nephew Adnan Aurangzeb from Pakistan Muslim League (Quaid-i-Azam), Qari Abdul Baais of Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal, Khurshid Alam Khan of PML, Saleemur Rehman and Shamsher Ali of PPP, Azeem Khan advocate of National Awami Party Pakistan and Qari Mehmood of MMA.
For the two National Assembly seats of Swat, 18 candidates have so far filed nomination papers.—APP
