HYDERABAD, Aug 25: The University of Sindh, Jamshoro, conducted entry test for admissions in M.Phil for academic session of 2002 on Saturday.

As many as 260 candidates appeared in the test for admission in various disciplines of faculties of natural sciences, social sciences, arts, commerce and business administration and Islamic studies.

A total number of 160 students appeared in various disciplines of the faculty of natural sciences and 100 candidates appeared in disciplines of faculties of arts, social sciences, commerce and business administration and Islamic studies.

ADMISSION: The director admissions, University of Sindh, announced on Saturday that the last date to submit admission forms and admission fee for M.Sc (final), criminology, for academic session of 2002 had been fixed at Sept 10.

The director further announced that the last date to submit admission forms and admission fee by students of bachelors and masters (hons) programmes for their next higher classes had been fixed at Sept 5.

CURRICULUM: The Board of Studies in Law, at a meeting held here the other day, discussed in detail the adoption and implementation of revised curriculum for LLB.

The Board has formulated its recommendations for onward transmission to the academic council of the Sindh University.

ADMISSION: The principal, Paramedical Institute, Jamshoro, announced on Saturday that the last date to submit forms for admission in ophthalmology technology had been fixed at Sept 4.

The interviews will be conducted at the institute on Sept 7 at 9am. The candidates having domicile of Hyderabad, Sukkur and Larkana can submit their application for admission in the programme.

Press laws: Principal Information Officer Akram Shaheedi has said press laws, governing the registration of press, newspapers, news agencies and books, have been finalized and will be put up before the federal cabinet in its next meeting for final approval.
