QUETTA, Aug 24: Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education on Saturday announced the result of FA and FSc annual examination 2002.
According to the result gazette, Hafsa Khanum, Roll No.27819, of Government Girls College, Satellite Town, Quetta, secured first position in the province obtaining 926 marks.
Owais Mehmood Butt, Roll No.25300 of Tameer-i-Nau Public Collage, Quetta, remained second with 922 marks and Yasir Fareed, Roll No.26024, of Cadet College Mastung got third position securing 906 marks.
The chairman of the board, Prof Fazal Bari, said that in second year science group, 5,730 candidates appeared of whom 2,437 passed. The pass percentage remained 42.53.
In the arts group second year examination, 6,332 candidates appeared, of them 2,492 were declared successful and the pass percentage was 39.36.
He informed newsmen that in the first year science group 5,601 candidates appeared and 1,089 passed. The pass percentage remained 19.44.
In the first year arts group 2,349 students appeared while only 464 were declared successful and the percentage remained 19.75.
He said that board was the first in the country to declare FA and FSc results.
