Naib Nazim resigns to contest polls

DADU, Aug 23: Sadaqat Ali Jatoi has resigned from the office of District Naib Nazim on Friday to contest the elections from PS-77, Dadu District.

Sadaqat Ali Jatoi, younger brother of Liaquat Ali Jatoi, was elected District Naib Nazim, while Malik Asad Sikandar as District Nazim Dadu.

Mr Sadaqat has sent his resignation to the District Nazim through the DCO.

Sadaqat Jatoi has mentioned in his resignation that he was contesting the general elections, therefore he was resigning from his office.

On being contacted, the District Nazim, Malik Asad Sikandar, confirmed that he had received the resignation of Sadaqat Ali Jatoi.

NOMINATION PAPERS FILED: PPP leader Pir Mazharul Haq arrived here on Friday morning and filed his nomination in the office of the returning officer to contest from PS-74 Dadu, while his daughter, Ms Marvi Mazhar, was covering a candidacy.

Gulan Khan Bhand, a PPP-SB leader, filed his nomination from PS-73 (Sehwan Sharif).

PML (Q) CANDIDATES: The Pakistan Muslim League (Q) on Friday announced the names of its candidates who will contest the general elections in Dadu District.

Liaquat Ali Jatoi, while addressing a press conference at his village, Betto Jatoi, on Friday, announced the names of the candidates.

Liaquat Jatoi told newsmen that the Dadu Ittehad have entered an alliance with the SDA and the Pakistan Millat Party in the district.

PPP CANDIDATES: The PPP, Dadu, has announced the names of its candidates who will contest the general elections in Dadu District.
