5 of a family shot dead

MARDAN, Aug 22: Five members of a family were gunned down by unidentified men in Jandhey village, some 5 kms from here late Wednesday night.

It is learnt that Shamsher Khan, a patwari of the revenue department of Mardan, was on his way home with his family, when some unidentified armed men opened fire on his vehicle which resulted in the death of five people, Shamsher Khan, his wife, Saba, daughter Yasmin, son Wajid and grand-son instantly.
