QUETTA, Aug 22: Punjab with 73.45 points lifted the 16th National Junior Gymnastic Championship which concluded at Liaquat Park the other day.
Mohammad Imran from Punjab was declared best gymnast of the championship who presented excellent performance in team and individual events.
In the team events Sindh finished second with 66.55 points while Balochistan ended up in third spot securing 39.50 points.
North-West Frontier Province (NWFP) were placed fourth. Gymnasts of Federal Capital Islamabad showed poor performance and were condemned to last spot having garnered only 10 points in the team events.
According to results in the individual contests Imran got first position in floor with 8.10 points while Pervez of Sindh placed second with 6.15 points and Balochistan’s Baseer Ahmed secured third position scoring 6.05 points.
In vault Imran gained first position with 8.15 points and his compatriot Zeeshan Ali got second position scoring 7.15 while Sindh’s Mohammad Ramzan managed third with 6.95 points.
In the Individual contests for parallel bar Irmran showed excellent performance and came first with 5.00 points while Sindh’s Pervez got second position with 4.50 points and third position went to Zeeshan who scored 4.40 points.
In horizon qac contests Sindh’s Mohammad Ramzan got first position with 3.10 points, Punjab’s Imran grabbed second slot scoring 3.00 points while Sindh’s Shahzad Ali stood third. He scored 2050 points.
