PESHAWAR, Aug 22: The provincial parliamentary board of Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) allotted NWFP Assembly seats to the component parties here on Thursday.

Out of 99 general seats, Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (F) got 54 seats, Jamaat-i-Islami 30, Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (S) 11 while Muttahida Jamiat Ahle-i-Hadith (MJAH) and Jamiat Ulema-i-Pakistan (JUP) were allotted two seats each.

The MMA component parties are negotiating with other political groups and parties, including PML-N and PPP, in the province for seat adjustments on their respective quotas.  

A final list shows that the board allotted PF-1, Peshawar, and PF-47, Abbottabad, to the MJAH whereas PF-2, Peshawar, and PF-24, Mardan-II, to the JUP.

The JUI-F has been allotted PF-3, PF-5, PF-8, PF-9, PF-11 of Peshawar; PF-17, PF-19, PF-20, PF-21, PF-22 of Charsadda; PF-25, PF-28, PF-29, PF-30 of Mardan; PF-33, PF-34, PF-35 of Swabi; PF-38 of Kohat; PF-41 of Karak; PF-42, PF-43 of Hangu; PF-45 of Abbottabad; PF-49, PF-51 and PF-52 of Haripur; PF-54, PF-55, PF-58 of Mansehra; PF-60 of Batagram; PF-61, PF-62, PF-63 of Kohistan; PF-64, PF-65, PF-66, PF-67, PF-68 of Dera Ismail Khan; PF-69 of Tank; PF-70, PF-71, PF-72, PF-73 of Bannu; PF-74, PF-75, PF-76 of Lakki Marwat; PF-77

of Bunner; PF-81, PF-82, PF-84, PF-86, PF-87 of Swat; PF-89, PF-90 of Chitral and PF-98 of Malakand.

The JI was given: PF-6, PF-7, PF-10 in Peshawar; PF-12, PF-13 in Nowshera; PF-26, PF-27 in Mardan; PF-31, PF-32 in Swabi; PF-39 in Kohat; PF-40 in Karak; PF-46, PF-48 in Abbottabad; PF-50 in Haripur; PF-53, PF-57 in Mansehra; PF-78, PF-79 in Bunner; PF-80, PF-83, PF-85 in Swat; PF-88 in Shangla; PF-91, PF-92, PF-93 in Upper Dir; PF-94, PF-95, PF-96, PF-97 in Lower Dir and PF-99 in Malakand.

The seats allotted to the JUI-S are: PF-4 of Peshawar; PF-14, PF-15, PF-16 of Nowshera; PF-18 of Charsadda; PF-23 of Mardan; PF-36, PF-37 of Swabi; PF-44 of Abbottabad; PF-56 of Mansehra and PF-59 of Batagram.
