PPP-SB selects candidates

LARKANA, Aug 22: The PPP-SB parliamentary board, which met here at Al-Murtaza house on Thursday, selected some of its candidates for the national and provincial assembly seats of Larkana, Ghotki and Jacobabad districts.

The following candidates wee awarded the party tickets.

Larkana district: Ali Gohar Tunio, NA-205; Badruddin Bhutto, PS-35; Saeed Ahmed Bhutto, PS-36; Ali Umrani, PS-37; Dr Sikandar Jatoi, PS-38; Ali Gohar Tunio, PS-41; and Hareef Chandio, PS-42.

Ghotki district: Huzoor Bakhsh Mirani, PS-7; Rehmatullah Malik, PS-4 and 8.

Jacobabad district: Syed Qadeer Hussain Shah, NA-208 and PS-18; Mohammad Rafiq Brohi, PS-13; Abdul Nabi Qureshi, PS-14; Iqbal Ahmed Shah, PS-15; Shahnawaz Bhangwar, PS-16; and Abdul Khaliq Bhangwar, PS-17.

The names of the remaining candidates will be announced on Friday (today.)

Later, speaking to the activists of the Pakistan People’s Party-SB, its chairperson, Ghinwa Bhutto, urged the people to support those candidates who had never run after money but stood by the principles.

She said that the PPP-SB did not believe in power but in service of the people.

She later condoled the death of noted TV playwright Razzaq Mahar with his son Asif Mahar.

INTER RESULTS: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Larkana, the other day announced the results of the Higher Secondary Certificate Part II annual examinations of the pre-medical group in which girls outclassed boys.
