Sealing of LoC termed impossible

KATHMANDU, Aug 21: Minister of state for foreign affairs, Inamul Haq, said on Wednesday that there is no way to completely seal the Line of Control to stop militants crossing into occupied Kashmir.

“There is no way to absolutely seal the border,” he said. He is attending a meeting of Saarc.

“There might be members of divided families who might try to cross the LoC, or some rogue elements,” Haq told reporters.

He said Pakistan was not helping rebels to move across the LoC.

He said there should be no “preconditions” for talks between India and Pakistan. “Pakistan is ready for a dialogue with India without any preconditions,” he said.—APP
