SUKKUR, Aug 21: Out of the nine Wapda employees who were kidnapped from Dera Murad Jamali some four days back, six have been released by their kidnappers on the intervention of influential people of the area on Monday evening.
Those who have been released are M. Waris, Khuda Dost, M. Anwer, Atta Mohammad, Bashir Ahmed, and Shahid Mehmood.
Line Superintendent Naeem and two other Wapda employees are still in the clutches of the dacoits.
Sources said that the gangsters, believed to be Bugti tribesmen, were demanding Rs2 million for their release.
