PESHAWAR, Aug 18: Three persons, including two women, were killed and 20 others were injured when two speeding pickups overturned here at Nasirpur on Sunday.

The dead were identified as Ms Kulsoom, Ms Niaz Perwara and owner of one of the vehicles, Saleh Muhammad. The injured were rushed to different hospitals.

According to eyewitnesses the pick-ups were carrying members of a family to attend an engagement ceremony. These vehicles were headed from Taro Jabba to Chamkani, both located on G.T. Road.

Both the drivers were reportedly trying to overtake each other when their vehicles overturned.
