SUKKUR, Aug 18: A woman, Sadori, and the father of her deceased husband, Chakar Ali, were shot dead by some unidentified gunmen in Pir Bukhsh Buledi village, Jacobabad district on Saturday.

Reports reaching here suggest that the killings were the outcome of a land dispute.

Two years back, the husband of Sadori, Zakir Ali, was shot dead by his cousins, Koro, Kehar and Ali Gul over a land dispute.

The murder case was under proceeding against the three accused and the widow, Sadori, and father of the deceased, Ali, were pursuing it.

The relatives of the three accused were compelling Sadori and Ali not to pursue the cases otherwise to be ready to face consequences.

Sadori recently informed the police about the threats and refused to settle the dispute with the accused.

On Saturday morning the unidentified gunmen raided their house and killed Sadori and Ali on the spot.
