KARACHI, Aug 17: Two trussed-up bodies were found in a room of an office in Gulshan-i-Iqbal on Saturday.

Police said that the two men were found murdered in a room on the second floor of a building opposite Baitul Mukarram mosque. They were tied to two separate chairs and fan and lights were on. Neighbours informed police about the incident.

A police officer said that the dead men had been identified as Malik Khushhal Ali and Dr Mehboob. Malik was office assistant who opened the office in the afternoon and closed it in the evening. Dr Mehboob was one of his acquaintances, who might have been accompanying Malik, when they were killed.

Police said that there was no apparent mark of torture on the bodies which suggested that both men were strangled. The cause of death would, however, be clear after post-mortem examination.

A man was found murdered in Korangi on late Friday night.

Police said that a man was found dead in an under-construction house in 100-quarters. The body was sent to Jinnah Post-graduate Medical Centre where the dead man was identified as Jan Khan, aged 65. He was strangled with an electric wire, police said.
