PMAP to take part in polls

By Our Staff Correspondent

QUETTA, Aug 16: The Pakhtoonkhawa Milli Awami Party will fully take part in the forthcoming general elections and was ready to seat adjustment with PONAM’s components and other liberal parties.

The spokesman of the PMAP said here on Friday that the party has decided to participate in the elections to safeguard the national rights of the Pakhtoon people in the national and provincial assemblies.

“We are ready for seat to seat adjustment with nationalist, patriotic and progressive parties to contest joint election to get the people rid of military government,” the spokesman said and added that the nationalist parties could jointly foil the conspiracies of the military government against the oppressed people of smaller provinces.

The PMAP always resisted the military rulers and their policies and will continue to oppose undemocratic rulers in future as it believe in flourishing democracy and democratic institutions in the country.

He further said that party was also struggling for the unification of Pakhtoon areas under one administrative unit, which should be given name of Pakhtoonistan, Pakhtoonkhawa or Afghania.
