PSO, Shell cut prices

KARACHI, Aug 16: Pakistan State Oil (PSO) has cut the ex-Port Qasim price of high sulphur fuel oil (HSFO) by Rs61 per metric ton to Rs12,027, from Rs12,088.

However, the ex-Keamari price of light sulphur fuel oil (LSFO) of PSO has been kept unchanged at Rs13,155 pmt. The new prices were effective from Friday’s mor-ning.

Shell Pakistan Limited has also slashed the price of fuel oil by Rs58 per metric ton to Rs12,060, from Rs12,118.

Like past practice, no official word or any press release have come from these companies on Friday as to why prices have been decreased.
