The station house officer (SHO) of Lakki Marwat police station appeared before the chief justice with the record and stated that three Jirga members — Town Naib Nazim Habibur Rehman, Sahib Jan and Mohammad Adam — had been arrested search for five other accused was under way.

The chief justice directed him to appear on Aug 22 and inform him about the progress in the case.

The SHO said an FIR had been registered on the order of the chief justice against the Jirga members under Sections 377/201/114 of the Pakistan Penal Code on Aug 13. The police had arrested four persons.

The chief justice had taken suo motu notice of the incident and summoned the SHO on Saturday.
