KARACHI: Quarrels reported at BIE office

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Aug 15: Some outsiders on Thursday tried to create a scene at the Board of Intermediate Education in order to press their demands in regard to certain administrative decisions, sources at the board revealed.

Though none of the three senior officials — namely the chairman, the secretary and the controller of examinations — were available for comment, it was learnt that the visitors were allegedly concerned over some reports about the abolition of certain posts, including those of higher grades.

The group, not satisfied with the administrative decisions, also behaved rudely with a senior official of the board and finally entered in negotiations. The area police, however, maintained that there was nothing substantial and that it was all an internal matter which involved the chairman of the board.

No FIR has been lodged so far, and the employees have resolved the issue, added the police.
