Latif Masters from Sept 16

KARACHI, Aug 13: The 16th edition of Latif Masters National Ranking Snooker Championship will be held at Karachi Club Billiards Hall from Sept 16 to 21 with Rs. 240,000 prize money.

Joint Secretary Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA) Arif Taherbhoy said Tuesday that 16 top cueists of the country will be battling for winner purse of Rs.100,000 with runner-up pocketed Rs 60,000.

Losing semifinalist will also be getting Rs, 25,000 each while third placed cueists of each pool will collect Rs. 10,000 and addition Rs.10,000 will be given to the players making the highest break of the tournament.

Country’s star player Saleh Muhammad will defend his title in the six-day.

The 16 players will be drawn in two pools with top two players will be advancing in the semifinal. —APP
