KARACHI: Hepatitis B vaccine

KARACHI, Aug 11: Large crowds were witnessed at the camps setup by the Al-Khidmat group in all 18 towns of the city to provide low-cost vaccinations of Hepatitis B to citizens.

According to an Al-Khidmat spokesman, some 60,000 men, women and children were immunized in some 38 camps in different parts of the city throughout the day on Sunday.

It was pointed out that while most people were eager to get themselves and their families immunized against the disease, they could not always avail the opportunity due to its high cost.

He said that in the next leg of this campaign, camps would also be setup next Sunday at the same venues.

Camps were set up at Karimabad roundabout, PECHS society office, Moosa Lane, Sindh Government Hospital Liaquatabad, Sunday Market, University Road, Cantt, Gulistan-i-Jauhar, Jamiat Hospital, Dehli Colony, Al-Khidmat Hospital Nazimabad, Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, Al-Khidmat Hospital Shah Faisal Colony, Patel Para, Jinnah Hospital, Quaidabad, Saddar, Al-Khidmat Medical Centre Korangi and at the Civil Hospital.—PPI
