Cadet honoured at Sandhurst


LONDON, Aug 9: Cadet Officer Ahmad Omar received Overseas Sword from the Queen’s representative, Gen Sir Sam Cowan, at the 139th Sovereign Parade held at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst on Friday.

He was awarded the honour for being judged the best overseas cadet by commandant of the academy, Maj-Gen P.C.C. Trousdell.

One cadet is selected every year to be sent to the academy. Robin Iqbal has been selected for next year’s training.—APP
