KARACHI, Aug 6: Ismail Baba scored two goals to help hosts Baloch Mujahid qualify for the quarterfinals of the All-Pakistan Invitation football tournament at Baloch Mujahid Stadium Tuesday.

Ismail was on target in the 50th and 70th minutes as Baloch Mujahid blanked Malir Star 3-0 after a barren first half.

In between, Mohammad Hanif scored in the 61st of the game.

Late Monday, Karachi Port Trust (KPT) ensured a berth in the last eight with a 3-0 victory over Azam Nagar Club.

Lal Baksh opened the scoring for KPT in the 16th minute — the only goal of the first period of play.

Aurangzeb doubled the tally in the 69th minute while seven minutes from the final whistle Fareed Majeed made it 3-0 for KPT.

KPT’s defender Akhtar was sent off in the 85th minute for infringement.
