KARACHI, Aug 6: Four ships carrying crude and gas oil and to load containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves remained slow owing to delayed arrivals. As a result, three ships, Beauty River, Johar and Ascot to unload and load containers, offload crude oil and to load naptha respectively were berthed after the sailing of as many.
The ships, which departed were led by Parvat, Mildburg and Maya, while Kota Waris, Beauty River, Jamila, Johar, Juquline and Ascot are due to sail out on Wednesday.
The berth occupancy at the oil piers and the dry wharves stood at 67 per cent and 43 per cent respectively.
Cargo handling was active as the total tonnage rose to 77,018 tons comprising 11,353 tons of export tonnage including 894 tons of wheat and 65,665 tons of import cargo, notably oil totalling 45,000 tons.
The following ships are due on Wednesday: Good Hope, with 62,000 tons of crude oil, Sponsalis, with 50,000 tons of gas oil, Al-Ihsaa and Bunga Mastiga to load containers.

KARACHI, Aug 6: Garrison Savanni carrying LPG was expected to take berth at Engro Vopak Terminal during the last 24 hours, says a PQA press release on Tuesday.
Three vessels, Liberty Spirit, Keiko and Nord Mortiz were at the wharves discharging wheat, furnace oil and coal.
A cargo volume of 38,886 tons exclusively of import tonnage including 26,000 tons of furnace oil and 11, 870 tons of coal was handled.
Three ships, Formosa, Liberty Spirit and Keiko sailed.
