MITHI, Aug 2: A poor Meghwar, Amolakh, resident of the Kagia village, near Chhachhro, whose wife had been raped by a goldsmith about a month back and a police constable about 10 days back, has succeeded in getting FIRs lodged regarding it on Wednesday and Thursday with the help of some social workers and the representatives of the HRCP.

Earlier, Mr Amolakh and his relatives had not registered any complaints with the police against the accused out of fear.

The first FIR was lodged on Wednesday at the Chhachhro police station under section 362/342, 306/2, 34 PPC and the Zina Hudood Ordinance.

The second FIR was lodged at the Mithi police station on Thursday in which Mr Amolakh has accused Constable Nangar Soomro of sexually assaulted his wife, Padu.

He said that he had not lodged a complaint at that time as the constable had threatened him of dire consequences.
