LAHORE, Aug 1: District Nazim Mian Amer Mahmood has, on behalf of the Punjab governor, assured the Joint Action Committee of Teachers Punjab (JACTP) that the denationalization of educational institutions notification will be withdrawn soon after governor’s return to the country.

A JACTP delegation led by Nazim Hasnain and Rana Arshad had met the Nazim on his request here on Thursday evening.

They claimed that the Nazim also spoke to the chief secretary and the governor by telephone to assure teachers.

They said it was decided to constitute a committee, in which teachers would be given representation, to review the setting up of board of governors for 13 educational institutions in the province.

They said the Nazim also assured that no BoG would be constituted for any other institution till the final report of the committee. The committee decision would be applied on the 13 institutions in Faisalabad.
