KARACHI: Demos held against Israel

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, July 28: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (S) and Pasban Jamshed Town staged two separate rallies on Sunday outside the Karachi Press Club to protest the indiscriminate, brutal bombardment by Israeli war planes of Palestinian citizens, resulting in the massacre of innocent women and children.

The JUI (S) rally, led by Maulana Muhammad Asad Thanvi, Maulana Mufti Muhammad Usman Yar Khan and Hafiz Afaq Asri, raised slogans condemning the Israeli terrorism under US patronage against the Palestinian population.

Speaking to the participants, the JUI leaders urged the US to demonstrate courage by instituting a case for war crimes against Israeli Prime Minister Sharon.

They also criticized Muslim rulers for becoming spectators and failing to react against the Israeli barbarism.

Pasban Jamshed Town organized a children’s protest rally outside the Press Club.

Speaking to the participants, Pasban leaders condemned Israel for committing crimes against humanity by targeting an unarmed population in Palestine. They called upon Muslim rulers to raise an effective voice against the killings and oppression of Palestinians.
