Rockets fired on village

SUKKUR, July 26: A group of armed men stormed the Fida Hussain village in the jurisdiction of Risaldar police station, Jacobabad district, and fire two rockets and opened indiscriminate fire on Thursday night.

The rockets destroyed the houses of Wahid, Ashraf, Lodhi and Suleman and an old lady Mst Suhagan died due to the shock of the rocket fire.

The unidentified attackers later kidnapped a villager, Mohammad Suleman, and fled.

Later in the morning the police chased them and recovered the kidnapped man after an encounter.

The incident was the result of an on-going dispute between the Golani and Bugti tribes which spread panic in the area.
