KARACHI, July 26: In the intra-PPP elections, two nomination papers of the party chief Benazir Bhutto were filed on Friday for the office of the party chairperson.

This was announced in a statement issued by the Media Cell of Bilawal House on Friday.

It said that the party election of the PPP is scheduled to be held on July 28.

The first nomination form was submitted on behalf of Ms Bhutto by Makhdoom Amin Faheem while the other was filed by Justice (Retd) Rashid Rizvi before the members of the party election commission Aftab Shaban Mirani and Prof N.D Khan.

Makhdoom Amin Fahim filed the nomination paper for the post of vice-chairman and Jehangir Badar’s nomination paper was filed for the post of secretary-general.

Raza Rabbani filed the nomination paper for deputy secretary general and Taj Haider for the party’s secretary information.

Nisar Khuhro filed the nomination paper for the post of provincial chief.

Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq’s nomination paper was filed for secretary general of PPP Sindh.—APP
