KARACHI, July 25: The Sindh High Court allowed on Thursday family members of Mohammed Imran, the chief of the Harkatul Mujahideen Al Almi, accused in the assassination attempt on President Gen Pervez Musharraf and the bomb blast outside US consulate cases, to meet him inside Central Prison Karachi.
An order to this effect was passed by a division bench of the SHC, comprising Justice Sarmad Jalal Osmany and Justice Zia Pervez.
The court was seized with the hearing of a habeas corpus petition filed by Mohammed Ali, father of Mohammed Imran.
Earlier, an additional advocate-general, Sindh, representing the state, submitted before the court that the accused was in lawful custody as he had been booked in a number of terrorism incidents, including multiple killings.— APP
