KARACHI: Woman dies on flight

KARACHI, July 20: An aged woman died because of stomach ulcer while travelling on a PIA flight from Birmingham to Karachi on Saturday.

Armin Cawaji, 60, was travelling with her husband, Behram Cawaji, on PIA flight PK-782 from Birmingham to Islamabad-Karachi.

The aircraft was flying over Afghanistan and was only an hour away from Pakistan when the woman had a serious stomach pain.

The flight pilot, Capt Saqib, sought medical help and a travelling doctor gave some medicine to the woman. However, Armin could not survive the pain.

Later on landing at Islamabad, her body was wrapped in a coffin and flown to Karachi on board PIA flight PK-319.—APP
