KARACHI, July 16: Governor Sindh Muhammedmian Soomro praised the Pakistan rangers for their efforts to control crimes and maintain law and order in the province during his visit to the Rangers Headquarters here on Tuesday.
The governor, on the occasion, announced a Rs3 million grant for the welfare of the rangers.
He also lauded the role of the rangers for security arrangements at educational institutions, water supply, recovery of excise and taxation fees and curbing of crimes.
Muhammadmian Soomro also met the team of rangers officials who recently arrested notorious terrorists and appreciated their efforts.
Earlier, director general rangers, Maj-Gen Salahuddin, briefed the governor about the progress and the activities of the rangers.Chief secretary Sindh, K B Rind, and principal secretary, Brig Akhtar Zamin, were also present on the occasion. — PPI
