SHO: The Makki Shah SHO here on Friday undertook before the Sindh High Court, Hyderabad circuit bench, not to harass the family of Laiqa Begum, a resident of Shah Faisal Colony.

The court asked the SHO Aamir Jafri to lodge the FIR of the woman petitioner in case a cognizable offence was committed against her and her family by the respondents.

The petitioner claimed that the respondents, Atiq and others, ran a gaming den in the area and wanted to get the portion of her house vacated from her tenant who was a police constable.

The petitioner, who was represented by the advocate Parveen Chachar, stated that the SHO also misbehaved with her and family and threatened them of dire consequences.

She alleged that the SHO told her to ask her daughter to have a cup of tea with him.

The woman had also filed an application before the district and sessions judge who is also the director of the Human Rights Board, Hyderabad.

The application has been disposed of by the DSJ with directives to the AIG, Hyderabad region, Abdul Rauf Yousufzai, to conduct an inquiry himself or refer it to the DPO.
