KARACHI: Five cars, ten bikes hijacked

KARACHI, July 11: Fifteen vehicles — five cars and 10 motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the city on Thursday, police sources said.

Two cars were hijacked. Three others were stolen.

Four motorcycles were hijacked. Six others were stolen.

The police also claimed on Thursday to have recovered three stolen cars and three motorcycles.

ROAD ACCIDENT: A donkey-cart driver died when was hit by a truck in Baldia Town on Thursday.

The police said that a truck (JK-3011) hit a donkey-cart driver who fell into a stormwater drain. The donkey-cart driver, identified as Shahnawaz Gul, aged 34, died on the spot. The truck driver escaped.

The police impounded the truck.

DIES OF BURNS: A girl, Rukhsana, aged 22 died of burns in her house in Ghousia Colony in PIB police limits.
