Changes in BBA, MBA syllabi likely

HYDERABAD, July 10: A meeting of the Board of Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration, University of Sindh, held on Tuesday, discussed in detail the courses and syllabi of the Business Administration of BBA (Hons) and the MBA degree programme to cater to the needs of the international job market in the public as well as the private sector.

It reviewed and discussed the MBA executive programme and proposed some specialized courses for incorporation in the syllabi of the MBA executive programme.

It reviewed the courses of BBA and MBA executive programme and recommended some changes and additions in the syllabi.

It decided that the changes and additions in the syllabi recommended by the Board of Faculty would be submitted to the academic council in its next meeting for approval.

The meeting was presided over by the dean, faculty of Commerce and Business Administration, Prof Ferozuddin Qazi, and attended by Dr Syed Abdul Qadeer, former chairman of the Department of Commerce, University of Karachi, Prof Gul Zaman Qazi, principal, Government Sachal Sarmast Commerce College, Hyderabad, Prof Dr Anwar Ali Shah, director, Institute of Business Administration, Prof Agha Riaz, and Prof Nazir Gopang of the IBA, University of Sindh, among others.

EXAM: The Controller of Examinations (annual), University of Sindh, announced on Tuesday the schedule for the theory programme of final professional MBBS bi-annual examination of 2001 to be held from July 15 at the Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS), Jamshoro and Chandka Medical College (CMC) Larkana centres from 11am to 2pm.

According to details, the surgery paper-I will be conducted on July 15, surgery paper-II on July 17, medicine paper-I on July 17, and medicine paper-II on July 18. The paper of gynaecology will be held on July 20, paper of obstetrics on July 22, paper of ENT on July 23, and paper of ophthalmology on July 24.
