SUKKUR, July 10: The Anti-terrorism Court, Sukkur and Larkana Division, on Wednesday awarded 26 years rigorous imprisonment to six criminals who had committed a robbery and killed two persons on Aug 28, 2000. They were also ordered to pay a fine of Rs30,000 each failing which they would have to undergo another three-month RI.

The convicts, Abdul Majid Patafi, Ghulam Murtaza Chachar, Sikander Ali Lakho, Allah Jewayo Larik, Dur Muhammad Mochi and Ali Gohar Gadani, had robbed passengers of a bus in the jurisdiction of Ghotki police station. During course of the robbery, they had shot dead two persons, Imran Abbas and Mohammed Iqbal.

Police had chased the robbers and arrested them following an encounter.
