SHEIKHUPURA, July 8: The additional district and sessions judge sentenced a man on Monday to death on two counts of murder.

According to persecution, the convict, Asghar of Mohalla Islampura, Khanqah Dogran, had killed his mother in law and a sister in law.

PPP TICKETS: The Pakistan People’s Party has yet to decide its strategy for the distribution of tickets for the October elections, Rai Ijaz Ahmad Khan, the district senior vice-president and a former Punjab minister, said here.

Speaking at a press conference, Mr Khan denied that the party had already awarded tickets to some candidates for the National and Provincial Assemblies.

The final decision, he said, would be taken by the chairperson, Benazir Bhutto. Nobody else, he said, was authorized to take a decision in this regard.
