By Our Reporter

KARACHI, July 7: Sixteen vehicles — four cars and 12 motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the city on Sunday, the police sources said.

All the four cars were stolen. Four motorcycles were hijacked and eight others were stolen in central and southern parts of the city.

The police also claimed on Sunday to have recovered two stolen cars and two motorcycles.

SUICIDE: A man shot himself to death in his Gulistan-i-Jauhar house on late Saturday night.

The police said that Mir Raza Ali, aged 30, was found dead in his apartment in Pehelwan Goth in Gulistan-i-Jauhar police limits. Neighbours heard the gunshot and informed the police who broke open the door of the apartment.

The body was sent to a hospital for autopsy. The cause of the suicide could not be ascertained, the police said.
