Nazim removes TMO

Published July 7, 2002

HARIPUR, July 6: Tehsil Nazim of Haripur, Iftikhar Ashraf Khan, has removed the Tehsil municipal officer for “his non cooperative attitude  and throwing spanners in the public related official works” and asked him to report to services and general administration department in Peshawar.

Speaking at a news conference on Saturday, the Tehsil Nazim alleged that TMO Abdul Ghafoor Baig was creating hurdles in the execution of official work.

“His behaviour was detrimental to the interests of Tehsil municipal administration and the very fabric of the new system,” he said and added that despite several warnings, the official did not rectify his attitude.

He said that the TMO had many times bypassed him and issued orders without his approval.—Correspondent
