KARACHI, July 6: The newly inducted minister for education in the Sindh cabinet, Khan Muhammad Dahri, has stated that the process for the recruitment of 2000 school and college teachers on vacant posts in the province would begin very soon.

He was talking to the higher officials of the Sindh education department at a briefing on Saturday. The minister asked the secretary education, Sindh, to finalize the cases of promotions of teachers immediately and also prepare a list of school buildings lying vacant so that teachers could be posted there.

In order to remove confusion among the staff and officials of the education departments, he suggested that letters should be issued to respective executive district officers education, pointing out to them their authority and duty.

The minister said that billions of rupees were being spent in the education sector and it was the responsibility of the education officials to ensure proper utilization the amount.
