KARACHI, July 5: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chief Imran Khan said on Friday his party will emerge as a strong political force in the October general elections.

Talking to his party leaders here, Imran Khan claimed that the popularity graph of his party had increased as compared to the major opposition parties — the Pakistan People’s Party and the PML (N) — because, he said, both the parties had disappointed the people during their previous reigns.

He directed the party cadres and leaders to activate themselves to mobilize the masses and inform them about the party manifesto and plans.

The PTI chief, who spent two days in the city, held meetings with party activists and leaders and discussed with them the prevailing political situation of the country. He also addressed corner meetings in different areas and urged people to elect clean people in the coming election.

Quoting a recently-held survey result, Imran Khan said the popularity graph of the PTI had increased as compare to the PPP and the PML-N. He claimed that the popularity graph of the PPP had dropped from 22 to 19 per cent, whereas that of the PML-N had come down from 44 to 41 per cent.—PPI
