HUB, July 1: An engineer from Karachi drowned in a tank of the public health engineering department, while his wife and daughter were rescued by the locals here on Sunday.
The engineer, Abdul Rauf, arrived here with his family on a picnic. In the afternoon, his daughter fell into the tank, while playing near it. Rauf and his wife jumped into the tank to rescue their daughter.
Meanwhile, passersby also jumped into the tank and saved the woman and his mother, but Rauf drowned.
