QUETTA, June 26: A division bench of the Balochistan High Court has issued pre-admission notices to federal petroleum secretary and other officials on a petition filed by an employee of Sui Purification Plant regarding its sale.

Ali Gul Bugti filed the petition on behalf of 306 employees, pleading that Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) was planning to sell the plant to Pakistan Petroleum Limited, which would badly affect the rights of the employees.

The petitioner requested the court to bind the SSGC for protecting all service rights of the employees at the plant.

The bench, comprising Chief Justice Raja Fayyaz Ahmed and Justice Ahmed Khan Lashari, adjourned the hearing and issued notices to the officials concerned.
