KARACHI: Eight cars, 16 bikes hijacked

KARACHI, June 26: At least 24 vehicles — eight cars and 16 motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in different parts of the city on Wednesday.

Six cars were hijacked and two were stolen while 12 motorcycles were taken away at gun-point and four were stolen in different parts of the city on Wednesday.

SUICIDE: A young girl committed suicide in her home in Site on late Tuesday night.

Police said Naurin, 17, had an altercation with her parents over some domestic issue.

Later, she went to her room, and shot her-self from her father’s pistol.

Her body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for post mortem.

Victim’s father Abdul Hameed was a taxi driver.

A minor boy died after falling into an open manhole in Shireen Jinnah Colony on Wednesday.

Police said Hanif, 2, had been missing for the last few days ago.

On Wednesday, his body was found in an open manhole in Shireen Jinnah Colony.

The body was taken out and shifted to the JPMC for postmortem examination.
