KARACHI: Woman commits suicide

KARACHI, June 25: A housewife committed suicide in her home in Orangi Town on early Tuesday morning.

Police said Hajra Bibi, aged 35, hanged herself from a ceiling fan in her house in Gulshan-i-Bihar, Orangi Town. She had arguments with her husband on Monday.

The body was sent to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for post-mortem.

SHOT DEAD: A young man was shot dead in Jackson police limits on late Monday night.

Police said Naushad Khan, aged 35, was shot by unidentified persons on Tarachand Road.

He was rushed to Civil Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. He hailed from the NWFP.

Police described personal enmity as the possible motive for the killing.

After post-mortem, the body was handed over to relations of the dead the man.
